Matt Lorkin's Culinary Corner
Tonight I had dinner at Don's Tavern courtesy of Louise Tillet (thank you Louise). I also had the pleasure of eating with http://www.gordprisco.blogspot.com official culinary critic - Mr Matt Lorkin (when www.gordprisco.blogspot.com asked Lorkin for a photo, he told the staff he didn't have any. He instead sent a picture of his children Jessie and Tom - who currently live in Sydney).
This is what Matt had to say about the food tonight:
"The food was reasonable. The plates were clean tonight, which is always a bonus. While the service is always friendly, if the plates are unclean, we're just waiting for an outbreak of food poisoning. Tonight I had the beef. It was good, everything else was pretty ordinary."
Matt has added that he has brought up food issues with LSA President Brendan Donaghue many times. Lorkin claims that Brendan was his best friend before the campaign, yet since the election Brendan has ignored Matt's concerns. However, www.gordprisco.blogpsot.com did mention to Lorkin that Brendan is the LSA President and probably has nothing to do with the food in the cafeteria. Matt replied, "I just want answers, and the way Donaghue carries on, I thought he was in charge of everything."
When asked what Matt thought when Jack Blackburn came to the table with a full plate of chips and wedges, Matt said, "Now that's a heart-stopping meal."
It's always a pleasure to spend time with Jack Blackburn. He may very well become http://www.gordprisco.blogspot.com official bourbon and coke Jug 'chugger' (skuller). That is, as long as we don't have to drag him into the elevator again after he does such things. We are surprised he is still alive.
