It's O-Vish-AL...
Great pick by council this week to by choosing Vish Narayan as the Post Grad Representative. Vish has a good reputation among Bond Students that was further strengthened by his campaign for Treasurer in the recent election. Vish ran one of the best campaigns but fell short against the power of the Satisfaction ticket. In doing so, council has quelled the rumbling from the more multicultural portion of Bond Students (The last part was fiction...but it sounded like something somewhat political so I added it).
I hate to do this on Vish's big day, but in other news, this F%&*ing Crow is back. It's the same one that stole my sandwich at the golf course - I'm sure of it. He's outside the law school window on a branch right now looking at me - and he just took a shit (pardon the language). He'll pay somehow...
Reader of the week is Marc Lucenti. An avid reader and fan of the blog, Marc tells me his favourite columns are about Student Council and the 'goings on' down at the Bond Council Office. Marc is known around campus for his positive attitude and someone who loves the Gold Coast. He recently said to www.gordprisco.blogspot.com, "Vitamin, I'm glad you're making a difference at Bond. You're making me proud. I look at your blog 5-6 times a day. I'm too shy to make a difference...I have a tough time meeting people. Please keep up the great work."
Lastly, President Cantatore is on the Halloween issue. Seems there's a few parties booked for the evening. The one to go to is the CLSA party at Delano's bar in Surfers. Last year it was arguably the party of the year. More to come on this...

Gordon, leave the poor crow along. It has already had to eat your mouldy old sandwich. Isn't that punishment enough?
You are obviously hard at work Gord. Get back to work!
Gord there are some other good blogs out there which I could recommend if you are keen to know more about Australian politics. The thing which I love about blogging is seeing some of your work going from the micro-media to the main-stream as a couple of political stories I have given scoops on have ended up in newspapers like The Australian. Apart from having the occassional fun blogging I am keen on writing scripts like some of those seen on The Chaser's War on Anything or Kath & Kim. I might add that I only received a CD for one of my Kath & Kim contributions having my name on the credits would have been good but considering that my story was actually based on someone I know maybe this wouldn't have been such a great idea :). I have also written some pretty good parodies for work and I am told that I am such a waste perhaps this means they should pay me more. I have been thinking about writing some parodies about the law school however, maybe I should just study think of all of those wasted hours.
Speaking of Kath & Kim if there are any watchers of the programme out there reading this blog you might recall Pru & Tru the two snobbish shop assistants. Pru & Tru are a bit too upmarket for the Robina Town Centre perhaps however, you might expect to see them in a boutique or gift shop at Marina Mirage. Anyway I actually had a real Pru & Tru experience when I was at home shopping recently in the equivilent of Double Bay. I wanted something for my dining room table. However, when Pru started to show a couple a very nice throw they could have for their Louis style bench seat. If anyone has seen the episode with a scene about a throw for your couch you will know what I mean. It was just too much even for me I cracked up laughing and had to leave the store immediatley and didn't dare ask about what they might have for dining room tables. The woman who runs the store even does her hair like Pru it is just tragic.
Gord,
I also feel that maybe your blog should go back to writing about things other than Bond as some of us are not smart enough to attend that prestigeous institution with such great web sites (the early 90s called, they want their site back). It would also be nice if you had a link to my blog on your links page because then I could attract some of your "Australian Ivy League" readers. More clown porn would be nice as well.. either that or something relevant to us little people. See you at U2...
Well a few student have expressed their views to me about the calibre of students we have here at this fine university.
Next week I thought we should offer some people exam tips including:
- a bag full of icing sugar a day will keep those exams away and;
- how to ask your parents to write an essay for you while you are developing a tan on that great body of yours down at the beach.
Above all I think we need to keep that Bond spirit alive.
Speaking of the Bond spirit and having a great time I could also give people some helpful tips about how to please your parents back at home. For intance, if you are in your final semester and missing out on achieving First Class Honors by one percent tell your parents this is why you spend all your time at the beach as you need to relax. If I may offer some further advice to students out there make sure that if your parents are holding a black tie graduation party in a swanky hotel with over 200 guests from all over Australia that you are actually going to graduate as well.
Gord!
I have not yet recieved the minutes!

Gord,
I'm glad you spoke of Marc's love of the Gold Coast. I too love the Coast, miss it every day.
There's a deafening quiet back here in Canada; here are a few things I miss the most:
1. The weather
2. The ocean
3. The cars screaching around every corner
4. The 'drunk' not drink driving
5. The domestics
6. The shortshorts on men
7. Paying $7 for a beer
8. The monopoly over taxis
9. The inability to walk to any destination
10. Ispa Kebab
Man do I miss it! Oh I should also add, Marc's positivity is also something I miss!
Yes and when a guy tells anotehr guy that a girl misses her boy back at home it is not an ivitation for him to ask her out. It is pretty obiovus when a girl is wearing a pink diamond ring and a wedding band that she is indeed married. Especially, when her boy is working very hard to give her more than she needs.
Perhaps the worst pick-up line I have ever heard is "...would you like to come and format some Word Perfect documents for me..." somewhere. Well for a start nobody uses Word Perfect anymore and it is a also inappropriate to ask a woman you don't know to go off somewhere with you. Apart from being a gross insult to a womans intelligence it shows everyone why this sad guy does not have a girlfriend. Thank goodness I will be going home for the weekend again soon!
I also managed to convince my man not to fly up here to punch this guys lights out and told him that I would be alright. My man also really appreciates that another bloke told this guy that I was strictly out of bounds. I am always quite happy to be friendly as I am very socialable girl.
Mark Lucenti positive! bah!
now that's funny.
