The Critic...

Here's two things that I thought of today...

It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly; so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory or defeat.

Many years ago Robert Hughes wrote a book called the "Culture Of Complaint" where he argued that minority groups by complaint dictated the terms the majority would live by.

I do not see what the lsa is doing for the law student body. I do see what they are doing to promote themselves.

Listen why do I have to sit in tutorial rooms or bat labs every semester that have been freshly painted. I had a tut in cs 17 its full of paint fumes. I thought the lsa sorted this sort of rubbish out last semester. Instead of self promotion get to work on this sort of stuff. Its not on you lazy self promoters.

Heh where is this tut room Ive been here for a couple of years and have been turned into a paint sniffing addict. Every semester they do this. Its great instead of using the breaks to paint the painters take holidays like the students. Then they paint before and after the tuts. When you get into the room the heavy fumes are there for the breathing. I love it where can I get these fumes man! Please dont alter this practise or I will 'off the wall'!!
