Empire...for Kids...

Ladies and Gentlemen. Tomorrow night at Bond University....Fight Night At Empire.

See these matches...

Brett "Save Don's" Cadman vs. Will "you aint no LSA Competition" Ewing

"Sexy" Sarah Bourne vs. Polly "you can put it in the" Banks

Matthew "not so great white hope" Hooper vs.
Nitay "the People's President" Levi

Matthew "under the ropes" Cam vs.

Ben "Irish name" O'Bryan vs. Dom "inate" McKenna

Gord "The Vitamin" Prisco vs. Brendan "Brother" Scandrett

Plus you get 4 drinks instead of 3.

Most importantly, money is going to the Starlite Foundation. This organization helps grant wishes to seriously ill children. Distractive therapy is what they do - trying to take kids and family minds off of terrible illness'....if only for a little while. That may mean taking a kid to meet his favourite Hockey Player, Rugby Legend, or taking him to Disneyland. It's worth the cause, even if we're all poor students, there are a lot of kids worse off than us.

Be there...

And in other news...this piece by Tom Green. Yup, it's North Bay - My hometown.

Lastly, the Jack "skuller" Blackburn has entered the world of blogspot blogging - found here. He informs me that this will not conflict with his duties as the alcohol critic of www.gordprisco.blogspot.com.
Also, the usual disclaimer applies - nothing said by the Skuller is representative of anyone at www.gordprisco.blogspot.com - although we usually agree with the Skuller and we've got his back...cause that's how we roll.

I think you will find it's call the starlight foundation. Perhaps you should do a bit more reading on what it actually does. Or ask my sister, she did a lot of charity work for them in melbourne. Their key rings are great for putting on travel luggage! Dropping past and chatting and visiting the kids is also great. Do you ever do any study. ps. all that library open hours stuff is bulling the staff if you ask me. Bond students are so spolit 8.30-11 and your uni has what 5 faculties, and computer labs open 24 hours. Find something real to complain about. ps. are you aware there is a war on?? or are you too obsessed with some warped cyberspace world

Alright. What is this. I am a relatively intelligent, and would say well educated individual. I have an honours degree from melbourne university in arts and honours in law also. I've had doubts about private teritary education in this country and reading jack's blog has reinforced any reservations pertaining to obtaining a law degree from Bond University. A friend of mine informed me how it is rare for a student to have a part time job an that this is attributed to the 'hectic schedule' (which she noted was a bit of a ridiculous excuse). Why do i think this is stupid that students at bond don't have jobs
1) they actually have time to criticise and bother their academic staff like this
2) instead of studying in the library the complain about the LSA and opening hours...god you guys have 24 hour computer labs
3) the study load at bond's law school is equivalent to that of any other law school (if anything you have less contact hours per week i had fifteen in my law degree) i worked twenty hours a week and did aproximately 5-6 hours of homework prep for every contact hour i had at uni. Then in my holidays i worked full time. I don't need a medal for this as it is the norm. everyone does it.
Bond students get a life and do some real work!

i think that should be Gord "The Disgrace" Prisco v Brendan (flying under the radar and loving it untill now) Scandrett

Or perhaps Gord (that's the second time his shoulder has been dislocated) Prisco

PS - Anyone who has a suggestion RE all things LSA, Academic etc -

There is locked suggestion box in the LSA Lounge now (it doesn't have a sign on it yet - maybe that can be the 1st suggestion)

It can be completely anonymous - all issues will be read during the LSA meeting every week and dealt with accordingly.

Gord what have you got yourself into mate, Brendan S as much as i dont like to say it will b a good competitor.

Your not gonna b the little prick in areas of fitness do make sure you unload on his face, his already ugly so you cant do much damage there.

Skuller will support two men in a ring flogging the piss out of each other anyday. Alcohol is a bonus, im hopping that there are also beautiful young lasses there in small bikinis with the round cards, it just wont be a fight night with out them

This comment is in relation to Brendan "gords gonna smack my face in" Scandrett.

The LSA have finally done a good act and suggested a comment box after some 8 weeks. However I believe its done with a illict purpose. I know from my meeting with members of the LSA that the accountabillity and truth and honesty www.gordprisco.blogspot.com and the newly annoitted www.jackblacks.blogspot.com is making the LSA a little hot under the collar.

I believe this policy by the LSA is to stop the public humiliation the LSA are recieving by the Vitamin and myself. Why would your political oppenants go all Anonymous and put there complaints in a private box. Public humiliation is far more fun.

I now shift my focus to the comments of perplexed public university student. I will criticise you more on skullers page of wisdom. but for now i leave this. But short mate Bond Uni is number one, oh and where did Melbourne Uni's mooters finish in the Jessup comp, I know the bond team finished first in Australia and did very well in the world competition.

I understand your from melbourne and would therefore have a unique typing advantage over me with your 7 fingers.
We complain about staff and LSA because we demand better. Why would we get a job when Mummy or in my case the Government is paying for our university and daily cost of life, we would have to be as retarded as you to think oh lets go get a job if we dont need one.

You say you dont need a medal for your endeavours and yet you are one of the worst glory seekers i have seen, you but LSA President Brendan to shame. No one cares what you did or will do, put frankly i will piss on your honours degree.

I depict that the whole anger in your comment is not because bond law students dont have a life its to the contrary your shitty that at least for four years of your life you did nothing but be a nerd. Us Bondies get a healthy mix of study and party and it shits you off. I guess it would when we come out with a bachelors and could put your honours to shame

Skuller, supporting Bond and the irresponsible consumption of alcohol

dear perplexed public uni student

get off your high horse, and i would appreciate it if you would not generalise. i have a part time job. i have fun at bond university and i too will graduate with an honours degree. but unlike you, i will be graduating in 3 years instead of your 5.

we make suggestions to our academic staff and lsa etc - that is our right to do so. You public uni mob complain every day about how bad the federal government treats you. and what have protests gotten you? you whine that you have to pay for your degree , then you complain that your facilities aren't as good as ours. can't have it both ways buddy.

ps, all work and no play makes perplexed public uni student a dull and socially unbalanced... person

Brilliant coment by "proud to be a bondie". I do fear that i also over generalised in my rant but i think it can be implied that i never meant to attack a Bondie, as for the Victorians, being the gateway to Tasmania the onus of proof is on them. Calls that it may be over critical generalisation maybe justified when one looks at Queenslands own Brendan Donoghue, i wonder where it all went wrong

Actually Jack, it stemmed from Ari having a chat to us about some people he knew having some issues with the way that tutorials were assessed and that they lacked the confidence to speak in class.

Funnily enough, they also don't have the confidence to come and address this concern with me personally in my role as academic affairs director.

So, an anonymous suggestion box will get the idea on paper and it is something tangible that I can take to Mike Weir and say "this is a concern, what can we do about it".

Please don't give yourself that much credit :P J/K mate.
